Tool for creating QR codes for my business invoices?

I run a civil engineering business in the US, and have been including a note on my invoices that I accept crypto and there's a 10% discount if they pay in crypto. Unsurprisingly, I've had no takers (since 2013!) I'm thinking maybe it'd be a good idea to include a QR code on each invoice, a payment QR code to a wallet, in the amount of 10% less than the invoice. The QR code would provide visibility (no one reads fine print) and if someone scans it it would take them to the edge of the crypto rabbit hole.
Is there a good tool for doing this? I imagine the wallet for the code would have to be a BTC wallet, but if they called me and wanted to pay in some other currency, I could set it up. The tool would need to run on PC, since I create my invoices in Excel.

Rifbit a scam?

A few hours ago, I got a discord message claiming that I won 0.7111 BTC from the site called rifbit.com I was sketchy about the site and scanned it with virustotal and the site was safe. I proceeded to do the instructions in the message which are.
1.Register (I used a throwaway email) 2. Go and put the promo code.
Now am in the site and have "successfully redeemed the code" and it says i have 0.7111 BTC .
There is a Google play store and app store logo available but I visited the app store and I couldn't find the app for it.
It says I can deposit or withdraw but since am not accomplished in bitcoins I don't know if I how to have a bitcoin wallet and put money it , nor do I know how it really works.
What should I do? Can someone see if its real? the site is rifbit.com

Gridcoin 5.0.0.0-Mandatory "Fern" Release

https://github.com/gridcoin-community/Gridcoin-Research/releases/tag/5.0.0.0
Finally! After over ten months of development and testing, "Fern" has arrived! This is a whopper. 240 pull requests merged. Essentially a complete rewrite that was started with the scraper (the "neural net" rewrite) in "Denise" has now been completed. Practically the ENTIRE Gridcoin specific codebase resting on top of the vanilla Bitcoin/Peercoin/Blackcoin vanilla PoS code has been rewritten. This removes the team requirement at last (see below), although there are many other important improvements besides that.
Fern was a monumental undertaking. We had to encode all of the old rules active for the v10 block protocol in new code and ensure that the new code was 100% compatible. This had to be done in such a way as to clear out all of the old spaghetti and ring-fence it with tightly controlled class implementations. We then wrote an entirely new, simplified ruleset for research rewards and reengineered contracts (which includes beacon management, polls, and voting) using properly classed code. The fundamentals of Gridcoin with this release are now on a very sound and maintainable footing, and the developers believe the codebase as updated here will serve as the fundamental basis for Gridcoin's future roadmap.
We have been testing this for MONTHS on testnet in various stages. The v10 (legacy) compatibility code has been running on testnet continuously as it was developed to ensure compatibility with existing nodes. During the last few months, we have done two private testnet forks and then the full public testnet testing for v11 code (the new protocol which is what Fern implements). The developers have also been running non-staking "sentinel" nodes on mainnet with this code to verify that the consensus rules are problem-free for the legacy compatibility code on the broader mainnet. We believe this amount of testing is going to result in a smooth rollout.
Given the amount of changes in Fern, I am presenting TWO changelogs below. One is high level, which summarizes the most significant changes in the protocol. The second changelog is the detailed one in the usual format, and gives you an inkling of the size of this release.

Highlights

Protocol

Note that the protocol changes will not become active until we cross the hard-fork transition height to v11, which has been set at 2053000. Given current average block spacing, this should happen around October 4, about one month from now.
Note that to get all of the beacons in the network on the new protocol, we are requiring ALL beacons to be validated. A two week (14 day) grace period is provided by the code, starting at the time of the transition height, for people currently holding a beacon to validate the beacon and prevent it from expiring. That means that EVERY CRUNCHER must advertise and validate their beacon AFTER the v11 transition (around Oct 4th) and BEFORE October 18th (or more precisely, 14 days from the actual date of the v11 transition). If you do not advertise and validate your beacon by this time, your beacon will expire and you will stop earning research rewards until you advertise and validate a new beacon. This process has been made much easier by a brand new beacon "wizard" that helps manage beacon advertisements and renewals. Once a beacon has been validated and is a v11 protocol beacon, the normal 180 day expiration rules apply. Note, however, that the 180 day expiration on research rewards has been removed with the Fern update. This means that while your beacon might expire after 180 days, your earned research rewards will be retained and can be claimed by advertising a beacon with the same CPID and going through the validation process again. In other words, you do not lose any earned research rewards if you do not stake a block within 180 days and keep your beacon up-to-date.
The transition height is also when the team requirement will be relaxed for the network.

GUI

Besides the beacon wizard, there are a number of improvements to the GUI, including new UI transaction types (and icons) for staking the superblock, sidestake sends, beacon advertisement, voting, poll creation, and transactions with a message. The main screen has been revamped with a better summary section, and better status icons. Several changes under the hood have improved GUI performance. And finally, the diagnostics have been revamped.

Blockchain

The wallet sync speed has been DRASTICALLY improved. A decent machine with a good network connection should be able to sync the entire mainnet blockchain in less than 4 hours. A fast machine with a really fast network connection and a good SSD can do it in about 2.5 hours. One of our goals was to reduce or eliminate the reliance on snapshots for mainnet, and I think we have accomplished that goal with the new sync speed. We have also streamlined the in-memory structures for the blockchain which shaves some memory use.
There are so many goodies here it is hard to summarize them all.
I would like to thank all of the contributors to this release, but especially thank @cyrossignol, whose incredible contributions formed the backbone of this release. I would also like to pay special thanks to @barton2526, @caraka, and @Quezacoatl1, who tirelessly helped during the testing and polishing phase on testnet with testing and repeated builds for all architectures.
The developers are proud to present this release to the community and we believe this represents the starting point for a true renaissance for Gridcoin!

Summary Changelog

Accrual

Changed

Most significantly, nodes calculate research rewards directly from the magnitudes in EACH superblock between stakes instead of using a two- or three- point average based on a CPID's current magnitude and the magnitude for the CPID when it last staked. For those long-timers in the community, this has been referred to as "Superblock Windows," and was first done in proof-of-concept form by @denravonska.

I'm going to make the argument that using a crypto debit card at this point is still a better option than using fiat for daily purchases.

I hear the common arguments a lot; people say they won't ever use one while it holds the Visa logo and association. The payment is still handled in fiat so you aren't in any way truly using bitcoin. No matter what, 'HODL.' All valid reasons, however I personally don't subscribe to those thoughts. These cards often have a high cash back percentage on purchases and in the case of the MCO card that cash back amount is higher with the more value you hold in your wallet. If the goal is to accumulate as much BTC, doesn't it make sense to be holding as much as you can as often as you can? It takes guts to be a day trader sniffing around for profits on price action, imagine going to the store and BTC happens to be up that moment, whatever you purchased just got cheaper. The reverse of that is bound to happen too. It still would seem to hold up that similar to DCA strategies, the longer you've held onto BTC the more profitable it has become. It would stand to reason that since it is true for longer time periods, the smaller incremental time periods would also apply (If you think about it that way).
Not only does using these cards allow you to allocate more fiat to BTC on a routine basis, it shows companies there is a demand for this technology. Not to look at the banks as the bad guys, they're just the curators of a more primitive money. This opens up the field to them having to adapt to a different money they wont be able to have their hands all over, never the less the entanglement of BTC with fiat bridges is necessary. These Visa cards are the door we need to use and blow it all open to widespread use I believe.
Money should be dispersed, same with BTC so have multiple wallets. Use hardware/ cold storage wallets for bulk of your funds. Hot wallets, which most usually would be used by these card providers, so only have the amounts your needs or desire for higher cash back rewards. Always not your keys not your coins. There are downsides to not owning the keys. I am not ignorant to the 'principles of bitcoin'- cultist way of this that explains why people are against payments not settled directly in BTC.
Anyway that's my thoughts, do whatever you want. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong and offer your views.

Want a great Christmas 🎄 gift 🎁 this year ? Pre-order your custom made Satochip hardware wallet 💳 using our crowdfunding on Flipstarter 🐲 !

Introduction

Satochip is an open source and community driven project that aims to provide affordable harware wallet solutions for everyone.
Since 2014, we are patiently working to give you an easy to use and affordable solution to store your favorite cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin Cash and SLP tokens. In that way, Satochip is the very first hardware wallet solution that supports natively all SLP tokens including USDH, USDT, SPICE, SOUR, HONK, MIST...
So far, the Satochip team is a Belgian self-funded startup that works hard to make it real.
Today, we would like to go further and be able to offer on-demand and customizable hardware wallet cards to everyone. In order to achieve that goal, we need you !

http://flipstarter.satochip.io <--

Bitcoin Cash hardware wallet on a smart card.

Open source project and funding solutions

As said, Satochip is a fully open source and self-funded project. That means our only source of revenue comes from the sales we make on our website.
Since the begining of the project, people keep asking us to make dedicated design with a picture of their dog, to make a student badge looking card or to print the SPICE or SOUR logo on it. Unfortunately, our printing process is conditionned by a minimum quantity to make and print a specific design.
We would like to acquire our own chip card printer so we can print on-demand and customizable Satochip cards. But how to achieve such a goal ? Satochip likes its sovereignty and wants to be master of its choices while keeping the project open source and community driven.
That's why we have decided to choose the peer-to-peer crowdfunding solution gracefuly offered by Flipstarter !

http://flipstarter.satochip.io <--

flipstarter.satochip.io

What we plan to do with the raised funds

With the raised funds, we plan to buy a dedicated smart card printer such :
  • the Fargo HID HDP6600 dual-side with the laminator module.
  • the IDP Smart-70 with the IPLO configuration.
  • the Zebra ZXP7 with the laminator module.
These printers cost around 6000$ to 9000$ (without the software program or the printer consumables).
On top of that, we also would like to create dedicated designs for the SLP token projects that would like it such as SPICE or SOUR tokens and list them on our shop.
Our designer team has already made some proposals :

SOUR hardware wallet by Satochip.

SPICE hardware wallet by Satochip.

Help us and get your own and unique Satochip hardware wallet!

If we reach our fundraising target, we would like to thank our backers with Satochip cards.

Help us and get (\)* :
Donation What you will get
0.05 BCH The official Satochip card reader.
0.10 BCH A Satochip card from the First Edition or the SLP card.
0.15 BCH A unique Satochip hardware wallet card with your own picture/image.
(\) Mix and match. For example: a 1 BCH donation can claim up to 9 Satochip cards and a card reader or a unique Satochip card, 8 Satochip First Edition and the card reader.*

All hardware wallet cards will come with our latest applet available on our Github so you can safely store and manage your BTC, BCH and SLP token, LTC, ETH and all the ERC-20 tokens ! As usual, we will provide a free shipping worldwide (for this campaign : tracked shipping is included).

Thank you for your support !

How to buy Bitcoin and Deposit on Roobet Full Tutorial

Hello!
In this thread I will do my very best to explain how to purchase Bitcoin safely and deposit it onto Roobet.com !
If anything is too confusing or you need further instructions feel free to message a mod for help!Be very aware of other users offering to sell you bitcoin or purchase on your behalf. If you are new to Bitcoin in general I strongly recommend watching this quick video on the basics of bitcoin safety https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z2xggmeW1AAfter you have watched that or you already understand bitcoin skip to down below!
Buying Bitcoin
Step 1 Chosing an exchange
Ok so you want to buy bitcoin to play on roobet? No problem! Bitcoin is super easy to use once you understand it! The first thing you need to do is pick an exchange to purchase from. I would recommend coinbase as it is a very large and trusted exchange. If coinbase does not work in your region then I would recommend Binance The last option if buying online doesn't work would be a local Bitcoin ATM use google to find one close to you.

Step 2 Signing up - coinbase Sign up using https://www.coinbase.com/join/carava_zo to get a bonus 10$ btc on your first purchase Once you create an account you will be prompt to verify both a Email & Phone Number *Sometimes a photo id is required* *(It is recommend to add one as it will improve account security and increase your buying limit)* Follow the on screen prompts until you get to Add Payment Method
Add your method of payment
Once you link a Bank/Credit Card you will now be in the main page
https://preview.redd.it/a58hftutv8d51.png?width=1892&format=png&auto=webp&s=9ce87ba198fdcaad10a2da4725c1030fca4d1741

This is the last chance to cancel or change anything before you purchase. In this example I am making a purchase of $100 Cad worth of BTC Take not of Coinbase fees so you do not get confused once the BTC arrives
Complete
Your BTC will be available instantly! that is the beauty of setting up a verified coinbase account! Step 1 is complete we have now successfully purchased our first amount bitcoin!

Once you do that the Wallet Window will pop up
IF you have the coinbase app you can Scan the QR code to deposit (not the one in the screenshot unless you want to deposit into my wallet!)
  1. Copy the Bitcoin Address (Your bitcoin address not the one in the screenshot)
  2. Head back to coinbase
  3. You should still have the Sent/Receive tab open if not open it back up
  4. Put in the amount of BTC you wish to send

Best Potential Moonshot Hands Down; TRUSTSWAP (SWAP) Full DeFi Suite, Simple P2P Trustless Escrow, and Great Tokenomics!

Trustswap https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/trustswap
Okay guys I've spent the last two days learning about this token and I've come away very impressed. I think this token may be a serious contender for best performer this year. On the TrustSwap social platforms it feels like 2017. Here's some info about the company.
TrustSwap is a DeFi project created by the founder and CEO of Uptrennd Jeff Kirdeikis. Most notably he has the largest cryptocurrency investing group on Facebook, and he is what Tom was to MySpace but for Uptrennd. He host The Bitcoin and Crypto Podcast which is actually very good, and he has a massive following on Twitteother social. Better yet, this guy is a marketing genius like a less annoying Justin Sun. He has a pipeline of good news lined up and knows when and how to release that information on the masses. Everything he does seems meticulously thought through. He continually affirms his commitment to get SWAP listed on high volume exchanges with MXC yesterday, Hotbit today, and Houbi/Bitmax tomorrow he is actually succeeding. He is also very responsive and has team moderators standing by in the social media channels to field questions/vanquish FUD.
Here are the basics:
TrustSwap is building a DeFi ecosystem that will start out as a simple P2P trustless escrow and payment platform and evolve into a fully decentralized exchange (DEX) with leverage and futures options all offered via non-custodial smart contracts. They will also offer multi-chain token wrapping as a service and on-chain governance using the native ERC-20 token SWAP.
Imagine being able to wrap BTC, Monero, Digibyte, or any crypto and then trade it on uniswap, or have it interact with Ethereum compatible wallets, and applications.
Through this, you can move funds cross-chain without ever having to sign up to a Centralized Exchange, allowing you to never have to KYC, staying fully anonymous across exchanges.
Wrapping tokens also offers huge benefits to new blockchain projects that have their own chain, allowing them to save massively on listing fees, as well as instantly be connected to strong wallets and decentralized exchanges.
This puts the ability to trust back in the investor's hands and might spark a new ICO boom as new projects eager to establish credibility rush to use it. So yes beautiful wrapping everything layer 3 solution my brothren. And highly incentivised holding economics, for example rewarding users from fees collected from the DeFi network! And staking;
All fees paid to the platform will get split as follows:
80% goes back to holders as staking rewards
10% are burned forever (adding that value back to token holders)
10% goes to the dev fund which can be used as the community sees fit
This project has massive potential and is already building a strong community foundation with big moves coming soon as more exchanges and markets come on board. The staking and deflationary tokenomics make this a long term HODL for me.
Token Metrics:
Total Supply: 100,000,000 SWAP
Circulating Supply: 62,500,000 SWAP
Market Cap: $3.6 million
60,000,000 SWAP Initial liquidity offering on uniswap about two and half days ago, price dropped at like $0.035. Volume bottomed out and rising again (same with holder count).
20,000,000 Team Supply
20,000,000 Marketing, development, legal, bounties, OTC investors, airdrops.

Extra nugget from Jeff on Discord; "@everyone
SwapLogo SWAP is listing on Hotbit this Monday! SwapLogo https://hotbit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051689713
This is the first step into TrustSwap's emergence in the Asian markets. We are going to be kicking off major marketing campaigns with an Asian marketing firm within the coming week to follow up this listing.
We also have a couple more Top-50 listings lined up for this week as well
When we had a vote to see which exchange you wanted to see SWAP listed on, Huobi was the winner by a massive margin, so we will be opening up the conversation with Huobi to get SWAP listed on there also in the near future."
DYOR!! Godspeed! I'll see you guys on the other side!
To address FUD about OTC investors dumping, yes they are dumping, it's my belief most weak hands have exited the market, they got in at $0.005 per SWAP.

🚨 Man proposes, God disposes

Today, in 1826, the first U.S. railroad was opened in Massachusetts. Since then, humanity has witnessed rapid growth in both industry and economic activity. But the industrial revolution has its drawbacks. Among many others, such development has led to increased levels of financial inequality. About 200 years later, cryptocurrencies emerged, and they are designed to help balance the global financial situation. So let's check out another day in crypto news - we strongly encourage you not to miss this ride! 🎢
John McAfee is arrested

The SEC and the U.S. Department of Justice filed a case against John MacAfee for shilling ICOs between 2017 and 2018/ John just forgot to tell you guys that he was profiting from this activity. And taxes, of course, he forgot to pay taxes.
McAfee received about $11.6 million in BTC and ETH and another $11.5 million in projects' tokens. In total, he received $23 million for shilling projects that collected $41 million.
On Monday, SEC and DOJ raised questions, and on Tuesday night, McAfee and his guard were already arrested in Spain. John will be extradited to the USA and serve up to 5 years if his guilt is proved.
So what?
Is there a competition between the regulators to take down the biggest crypto-enthusiast in the USA?!
MacAfee is an interesting character, and he really deserves attention.
Of course, the attention of the public, not police... although we will find out soon. Anyway, why did someone decide to give a [email protected] about crypto? Maybe they should clean up the banking sector first?!
You should wipe the dust in the room only when there is no garbage in the hallway. Get This Metaphor!

Analysts recalled that over the past four years, Bitcoin has risen from $1,000 to $10,000. And if the trend repeats, the BTC price may rise to $100,000 by the end of 2025.
The key factor of future growth will be Bitcoin's scarcity, because at the moment, the miners have already produced 88% of all bitcoins, and the rest will take another 120 years. The fact that Bitcoin becomes a "digital substitute for gold" also plays an important role. And, of course, Bitcoin-ETF, which will make it easier for large funds' managers and private investors to buy bitcoin, as ETF did for gold in 2004. The launch of Bitcoin-ETF is only a matter of time, Bloomberg analysts say.
So what?
It's great to make money, of course, but personally, we still care more about the mass adoption. We would like to order pizza via Uber eats and pay with, say USDT, then go out to a cyber street and fly the Tesla to meet friends.
Cyberpunk we deserved!

Best year for gold
And what about BTC?

$1 invested in Bitcoin on October 6, 2009 (when the price of BTC was first set), today would bring $13.9 million, and $1 invested in gold would turn into $1.45 (one dollar and forty-five cents, not millions).
So what?
Pirates of the Economic Sea. Where a ship's captain summons BITCOIN and Bitcoin takes over all the assets one by one.
Okay, jokes aside, to change the public consciousness definitively, we need to come up with trinkets of jewelry more beautiful than gold. With Bitcoin logo.
Any ideas?

MetaMask and 1M
10^6 -> ∞ ?

MetaMask wallet developers reported in their blog that since May 2019, the number of active wallet users increased by 400% from 264,000 in May 2019 to more than 1 million in October 2020.
Such a significant growth in the number of new users has contributed to the DeFi boom and the launch of a mobile version of a wallet.
So what?
Excellent job, guys! We wish you to break the 10M mark. Let other players break their hearts :D

It's Fusion Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (First since official release :D)

Congratulations to everyone involved with the successful CashFusion security audit and official release into Electron Cash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CashFusion brings exceptional levels of privacy to Bitcoin Cash, comparable to (or maybe even superior to) other privacy coins. It's already been used to fuse 100,604 BCH, and has reduced the size of the UTXO set by 10,325 outputs.
Make sure to spin up Electron Cash 4.1.0 today and get that liquidity flowing! (The more people using CashFusion at once, the more Fusions happen, and the larger your "anonymity set".)
New to CashFusion? No problem, getting set up is EASY.
Just download the Electron Cash desktop wallet. It's got CashFusion built in! Set up your wallet (and be sure to write down your recovery phrase on a physical piece of paper, especially if you are going to hold significant amounts of coin in the wallet), then activate CashFusion by clicking the icon in the lower right:

And here's the CashFusion Telegram group where you are welcome to ask questions. (Just remember to be courteous!)
Happy Fusing!! <3
